Mayrhofen, Austria

Mayrhofen is located in NW Austria in the Tirol's Ziller Valley.

The resort has been popular with the British since the 1970s for its lively atmosphere and large amount of terrain, including the Hintertux glacier. Today, the area has 620km of pistes and a reputation as a party resort thanks to events like 'Snowbombing' which takes every April – a week-long event with live music – see www.snowbombing.com

The slopes are mostly above 1500m and the lifts go up to 2500m.
