Ski Resort Guides

Bardonecchia, Italy

Bardonecchia is an Italian town and comune located in the Province of Turin, in the Piedmont region, in the western part of Susa Valley.

The resort has hosted the European Cup trials and World Cup trials as well as European Cup and World Cup competitions and of course the Olympic competitions in slalom, halfpipe and border-cross. The resort has also held many other important events in the national and international sporting calendar.

In the Colomion area of Bardonecchia skiing is mainly in the woods. Off-piste skiers have a great choice of routes that lead off from the top of the mountain but of course it’s always essential to be aware of the risks of avalanche.

At the most extreme point of Melezet at an altitude of 2400 metres another surprise awaits you: a ski lift takes you up to some of the most spectacular scenery where there are runs in fresh snow.

In the Jafferau area skiing is mainly at a high altitude (the highest point is 2807 metres). The scenery is breath-taking and there are many off-piste opportunities that are ideal in the spring too.
