Fulpmes, Austria

Fulpmes is a village in Tyrolese Stubaital, Austria. Fulpmes is the center of iron production in the area, and lies at the base of the Schlick 2000 complex mountain, which has its own chairlift service and operates ski hills in the winter.

Set in an open location at the foot of the Stubai valley, Fulpmes benefits many more hours of sun in the winter months than some of its neighbours who are sandwiched between the high valley walls. From November to March the average temperatures drop to around zero creating fantastic conditions for the snow to be able to set on the mountain sides. During these months there is an average of 12-13 days per month of snowfall and hours of sunlight per day making it easy to enjoy the slopes.
