At 1,560m Davos is one of the highest Alpine resort in Europe. It is a vast network stretching from the Rinerhorn south west of Davos to Pischa in the north east. The Rega ski pass also covers Klosters' ski areas of Gotschna and Madrissa.
Off-piste skiing, fun mogul slopes and long cruising runs, some up to 9 miles in length, complete the picture for skiers of intermediate and advanced levels in Davos. The Jakobshorn area is a very popular "inplace" for snowboarders with various slopes just perfect for boarding. The Pischa area is recommended for families as the slopes are mainly easy, less populated and sunnier.
Davos offers many sporting and leisure activities as well as fine dining, shopping and entertainment. Huge indoor and outdoor skating rinks, a sports center, two sled runs, 143 miles of skiing slopes in winter and 280 miles of picturesque walking path and mountain bike trails in summer. The skiing area and its 45 ski lifts constitute one of Switzerland's largest and most remarkable skiing resorts with snow coverage usually satisfactory between December and April.
