Bled, Slovenia

Bled is a municipality in Northwestern Slovenia in the region of Upper Carniola. The area, within the Julian Alps, is a popular tourist destination.

Bled is an ideal starting place for a wide variety of winter sports. Straza, the ski-slope with artificial snow and lightening in the centre of Bled, offers good skiing throughout winter season also in the evenings. For those who prefer cross-country skiing, there are a variety of tracks in the vicinity of Bled centre, and for the more demanding there are over 60 km of tracks on high-plateau Pokljuka, just 20 km from Bled.
