Are you interested in working in the fantastic setting of the French alps?

Being a Chef at Le Chardon is no ordinary challenge. You should have extensive experience in the deluxe hotel and/or gastronomic restaurant industry as standard and be willing to go that extra mile to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Chefs work closely with the Chalet Manager and must always remember that food quality is very important for guest satisfaction. Chefs also work alone so this role is a hands-on approach to every aspect of cooking.

You will be expected to create a weekly menu for the guests in accordance with our standards, clean the kitchen and wash up, deal directly with guests and present a menu every night, be part of the team and lend a hand when needed elsewhere.

Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years experience in a high profile establishment and knowledge of French cuisine.

* Good communication skills.

* Good English and conversational French.

* Comprehensive knowledge of ordering, menu planning, purchasing, inventories and stock control.

* Excellent organisational skills bearing in mind you will be working in semi-domestic kitchens.

* Be creative and flexible, adapting menus to the guest’s requirements.

* Be children orientated and interested in preparing fresh food for the children.

* Be able to present the menu and talk about the cuisine.

* Be able to work to tight deadlines with last minute requests.

* Valid food and hygiene certificate.
